As vaccine hesitancy shifts from fringe concern to mainstream behavior, public health leaders may need to rethink how and when vaccine education is delivered to new and expectant families. New research from the CDC and Emory University, published in JAMA Network Open, reveals a troubling drop in confidence among U.S. parents around childhood vaccinations. Fewer than half of surveyed pregnant women and parents of young children said they intend to fully vaccinate their child by 18 months.
