According to a study from AMN Healthcare Family Medicine physician appointment wait times averaged at 23.5 days, up 14% since the 2022 reporting.

With the clinician shortage looming, this trend is expected to continue.  Those FM offices part of a health system should consider referring appropriate visits to their affiliated Urgent Care to help alleviate wait times.
