Source Article – More than half of healthcare workers are considering taking new jobs next year: survey
According to a Harris Poll survey of more than 1,500 frontline workers:
- Only 1 in 5 believe their current employer is invested in their longer-term career growth.
- Only 1/3 reported feeling “very loyal” to their current employer
A majority of respondents believe employers should be investing more in their education. Survey results also indicated that for Gen Z and Millennial workers additional benefits for education would be a reason for them to stay with their current employer.
The following excerpt from UCA’s Clinician Compensation Benchmarking Report highlights data on paid time off provided for continuing medical education (CME) activities. IMO – If workers are having to use their personal PTO for continuing education opportunities it reduces the value of that benefit. Providing paid time off for additional education would increase the skills of that employee and demonstrate to your team that they are valued at your organization.
