Last month Walt Disney World Resort announced that through a partnership with AdventHealth they would now be offering in-room medical care to guests. On average a clinician arrives within two hours of scheduling and is able to arrange for medication delivery. To receive treatment for your sick child without leaving your hotel room seems like a dream for parents but will certainly impact patient volume at local Urgent Care centers where many of these children would have been taken.
Will we see clinicians in the halls with carts alongside the housekeeping staff? I’m sure whatever it takes to get people back to the parks with their pocketbooks!
