Source Infographic – Limited Healthcare Access Leaves Families Paying the Price

Urgent Care operator WellNow Urgent Care recently conducted a study highlighting the growing strain that working families, especially mothers, face when accessing healthcare.

  • Nearly 74% of mothers have had to use their paid time off for medical appointments, while about one-third report being unlikely to secure same-day care for a sick or injured child.
  • Limited pediatric access on weekends—two-thirds of families can’t reach their pediatrician on Sundays—further complicates care.
  • The financial impact is also significant: 25% of respondents have skipped utility payments due to healthcare costs, 19% have delayed rent or mortgage payments, and 14% have missed car payments.

The results of the survey show how Urgent Care centers offer a hopeful alternative, with 96% of mothers and 90% of adults open to using them for non-emergency medical needs, citing convenience, affordability, and flexible hours.

This is a great example of not just saying how Urgent Care meets patients where they are but producing data supporting your claims.

Well done WellNow!
